Stoke by Nayland Golf Club
The two 18 hole golf courses at Stoke by Nayland were created in the early 70's by Bill and Devora Peake on 300 acres of magnificent, undulating Constable Country on the edge of the picturesque Dedham Vale.
The Gainsborough and Constable courses are named after famous local artists and were skillfully and sensitively designed using inherent natural beauty of the landscape.
Conservation was a priority with over 60,000 trees planted. Water features are also in abundance including 4 large lakes and the courses are noted for their extraordinary tranquillity - a rare feature these days.
Now well-established and with a thriving membership – including substantial Ladies and Juniors sections – Stoke by Nayland Golf Club has earned the reputation of being one of the finest in the East of England. It regularly hosts prestigious international golf championships which are
televised on Sky Sports and worldwide. These include European Seniors Tour, European Challenge Tour and PGA Europro Tour events. Golfing legends such as Sam Torrance, Costantino Rocca and Carl Mason have all competed here and, together with the PGA, have praised the high calibre of the courses and the excellent on-site facilities. All these championships are preceded by
popular pro ams which are open to members and non-members alike.
Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa is a sought after venue for golf and spa breaks, corporate and society golf days.
