The men’s section at Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club prides itself on being a friendly all-inclusive group ready to help anyone joining the club to integrate into an enjoyable experience. We run five men’s teams for golfers of all handicaps from scratch to 24, with teams being picked each year on merit. We are particularly strong in the 12 to 18 handicap group and of late have done well in the Norman Plum and Jubilee Cup competitions.
The section runs a Winter League competition from October to April and have 8 summer knock-out competitions (including mixed) running from April until the end of September. During the summer months there is a stableford, medal, & mid-week medal every month. We use the How-Did-I-Do website for booking the vast majority of competitions so everyone who wants to play has an equal opportunity to do so. At weekends the club operates a sign-in system from dawn until 10.30 so again, everyone has an equal opportunity to get out on the course and play. Generally this system works very well.
The bar has a lively atmosphere making this a forward thinking and friendly place to enjoy yourself and not just play golf.
The view from the patio is one of the best in the area and many would say, “This is not just a golf club, it is a way of life”.
